MY FAMILY HAS BEEN ON CORNISH LAND FOR OVER 500 YEARS. I FEEL THIS EARTH IN MY BLOOD AND BONES. i can see shards of cornish culture still strong around me, but i’m afraid we’ll lose it all. so, i shall keep telling old stories, reciting old ways, recounting the folklore and re-learning what it means to be of this land, and mostly i will do this through the trees and the plants and the herbs that have stood here, watching all of us, since the giants once roamed.

i come from a background working in trauma theatres and fracture clinic. my Bsc in clinical herbalism included 500hrs of clinical practice including formulation, nutrition, anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics, clinical consultation and foundational medical examinations.

my herbal medicine consultations and workshops are the culmination of my years working in trauma theatres, tutoring, and listening to the stories of fascinating people and elders, and of course, my degree in herbal medicine.

Such do stories enchant me, that I paint portraits of elders on the condition of hearing their rich stories under my StoryLines project. just a small side-project.
